About

Cynthia Turrietta is a licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in infant mental health and reflective practices. She is an advocate for workforce development, maternal and infant health, mental health and is passionate about creating accessible supports for babies and families. Growing up as a child of immigrant parents she has passion for culturally responsive services and equitable access to care. She has over 14 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. She currently serves as the Director of Programs at Open Arms Perinatal Services overseeing all programs providing community-based support during pregnancy, birth, and early parenting, and provides technical assistance for Community Based Outreach Doula model in the Seattle area. She is vetted as a reflective consultant through the Washington Association of infant mental health. She launched Cynthia T Consulting, with a vision to support a more inclusive workforce in the 0-3 field with a vision to incorporate relationship centered practices in all areas of the workforce. Previous experience includes home visiting, pediatric medical social work, school based social work, counseling with families and children, and development of community centered programs. Cynthia received her MA in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach; and her BS from California State University, Fullerton. She dedicates her free time to her family where they like to spend their time playing board games and cooking together.
