Stephanie Walchenbach is owner of Waypoint Early Childhood Consulting, assisting early childhood
agencies and organizations nationwide to pilot new systems and practices, with special expertise in
developmental screening and promotion.
She has family service experience in early childhood special education, pediatric audiology, and family
resource navigation settings. Over the past 10 years, she has trained over 650 early childhood providers
and helped over 70 programs tailor their developmental screening approach to match their program
mechanics and family audience. With the vision of all families accessing the supports they want for their
child, she coaches agencies as they develop resource navigation practices, infrastructure, data
mechanisms, and program-to-program referral relationships.
Education: Bachelor’s degrees in Early Childhood Special Education, Human Development, and the
Speech and Hearing Sciences. Master’s in Public Health: Health Services, with MCH certificate.
State-approved trainer in WA State for MERIT credits; Level 4, all competency areas.
Former CDC Act Early Ambassador to WA State.
