Details
The number of refugees and displaced individuals has grown exponentially since 1970, with little knowledge of the transgenerational transmission of trauma.
Through personal anecdotes, the presenter will take us on a journey of self-exploration as an East African immigrant while unpacking the traumatic experiences passed down through generations. During this training, the presenter will share his experiences and challenges in adjusting to the new community from a first-generation immigrant point of view.
Throughout the training, we will self-reflect and discuss best practices for working with children from similar circumstances.
