The American Diabetes Association's "Safe at School" site includes resources for parents, child care providers, and schools on diabetes management for children.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provides a guidance to families on managing diabetes at school.

Seattle Children's offers Diabetes support groups and classes/workshops including: 

• Little Kids With Insulin Dependent Diabetes (L’KIDDS) is a parent-led support group for parents of infants, toddlers, preschoolers and elementary school–age kids with diabetes.
• Parent-Designated Adult Classes: 2-part series on diabetes care and management for caregivers. A Parent-Designated Adult (PDA) is someone who has been trained to provide care for patients who need medical attention in a school setting. This certification includes 2 sessions and participants must complete both to become certified as a PDA.

Public Health - Seattle & King County's Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) Program offers services for families:

A Public Health Nurse can provide you with Care Coordination services through home or community visits or on the telephone. Services are offered to families in King County regardless of income to:

• Weigh and measure your baby
• Listen to your concerns
• Help you with your child's changing needs

The Washington State Department of Health presents resources and guidance for child care providers on testing drinking water for lead and copper. The webpage outlines testing requirements, health risks of lead exposure, and offers free water testing through the EPA’s WIIN Grant program.

Snohomish County's Child Care Health Outreach Program classes include some of the most up to date, credible health and safety information in Washington State. They are developed and reviewed by professional child care health consultants including a public health nurse, environmental health and behavior health specialists and a registered dietitian nutritionist. All of them are open to anyone wishing to obtain information or Washington State STARS credits for child care providers.

Classes and continuing education (STARS) credits are currently available free of charge. Most of the online classes

King County's Child Care Health Program has developed care plan packets for providers to use.

As of August 2025, DCYF has endorsed the care plan packets developed by the King County Child Care Health Program for programs across the state to use. The updated care plans are now co-branded with the PHSKC and DCYF logos, and they satisfy WAC requirements for medical care plans in early learning programs.

King County's Child Care Health Program presents printable bleach solution labels to support safe and accurate sanitation practices in child care settings. These labels help providers clearly mark containers with proper dilution ratios for cleaning and disinfecting.
