Dr. Paulo Yanez

About
Paulo Yanez, PsyD is bilingual (Spanish/English) and holds a doctorate degree
in applied clinical psychology. He has extensive experience in providing clinical
services to young children and their families. His work focuses on supporting
children presenting with mental health difficulties and trauma. He is a fellow and
faculty member of the Infant-Parent Mental Health Fellowship, in Napa, CA,
through UC Davis. He has over 10 years experience in providing mental health
services to underserved communities in Los Angeles County. Early in his career
he began to provide group psychotherapy to fathers and male caregivers through
Project Fatherhood. His professional experience influenced his position on father
inclusiveness in all systems that serve young children and their families. Dr.
Yanez’s training includes clinical assessment in early childhood, mental health
treatment, Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and other trauma informed
modalities, Newborn Behavioral Observations, Parent-Child Interaction Feeding
and Teaching Scale, mental health consultation for early childhood providers,
and reflective practice. Currently Dr. Yanez is Program Chair and faculty member
for the Doctoral of Psychology in Psychodynamic Child Psychology and
Psychotherapy Program at Reiss-Davis Graduate School in Los Angeles. Dr.
Yanez teaches courses and provides training on culture humility and paternal
mental health
