Mariam brings a strong background in behavioral therapy and holds a master's degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis. With her expertise, she leads the CCHC program with a focus on providing evidence-based guidance and resources that equip family care providers to meet the developmental needs of children. - Balqisa, Health Services Coordinator
Balqisa works closely with family care providers to ensure they receive the support and resources needed to thrive in their role. The Child Care Health Consultation (CCHC) program provides a comprehensive range of services designed to support family care providers in fostering the healthy development and learning of children aged 3-5. Our services include:

Personalized one-on-one consultations tailored to meet the unique needs of family care providers. These sessions focus on addressing challenges, improving teaching practices, and fostering developmentally appropriate environments. - Resource Provision
Access to a wide array of resources, including developmental tools, educational materials, and strategies for managing the evolving needs of children. - Professional Development
Training opportunities and workshops that enhance providers' understanding of early childhood development, equipping them with the skills needed to stay aligned with current best practices. - System Navigation Support
Guidance to help providers stay updated on regulations, standards, and requirements within the early childhood education system. - Collaborative Problem-Solving
Partnering with providers to address specific challenges they face in their care settings, fostering solutions that promote positive outcomes for both children and caregivers.

The Child Care Health Consultation (CCHC) program is dedicated to supporting family care providers from diverse communities, with a special focus on Eastern African and Hispanic communities. We recognize the unique needs and cultural perspectives of these groups and work closely with providers to ensure they receive the resources, guidance, and support necessary to foster healthy child development in children aged 3-5.
- Eastern African Family Care Providers
The CCHC program places a strong emphasis on working with family care providers from Eastern African communities, including Somali providers. We offer culturally relevant resources and consultations that respect and integrate the traditions and values of Eastern African cultures. Our goal is to help providers from these communities feel empowered and supported in their work while maintaining cultural authenticity in their care practices. - Hispanic Family Care Providers
We also work closely with Hispanic family care providers, offering support that recognizes and honors their cultural practices and language. Through tailored consultations and resources, we ensure Hispanic providers have the tools they need to meet the developmental needs of children while fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment.
