Details

This cohort is part of a collective learning opportunity scheduled in the Fall focusing on race-based trauma and equity.

First choose which group you identify with and register for this training.

Then ALL participants from both of the above workshops are invited to register for

  • Race-Based Trauma and Collective Liberation: Bridging the Divide through Emotional Intelligence (offered in October/November).

If you identify as BIPOC, we invite you to register below, otherwise, please register for the Race-Based Trauma (RBT) and White People: Expanding Self Awareness and Deepening Your Journey as a Racial Ally Workshop.  Participants from both groups are invited to be together for the Race-Based Trauma and Collective Liberation: Bridging the Divide through Emotional Intelligence Workshop.

Workshop Description: BIPOC are subjected to daily racism, simply because of the color of their skin. We experience racism when running in the park, sitting in a car, and when being marginalized by the media and/or when working to make a living. BIPOC who are subjected to long-term effects of racism have experienced Race-Based Trauma (RBT) associated activities: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, mental volatility, and hopelessness. The RBT affects our well-being at the physical (body), cognition (mind), and character essence (soul) levels.  This training is design specifically to meet unique needs of people identifying as BIPOC. The intent of this training is to encourage and support BIPOC with acknowledging and affirming the exhaustive, and harmful effects of RBT on our overall well-being.  We will employ culturally responsive and preventative measures for coping with and healing from RBT, and integrating culturally relevant strategies for being successful in White spaces.

This is a 3-session workshop.
