EXTENDED APPLICATION DATE: December 6th, 2024

Cultivating Prenatal to 5 Community Based Facilitators (P-5 CCBF) is a Workforce Development program that supports King County’s P-5 community members who seek to share wisdom, learning and practice in their communities and beyond, and want to further cultivate their skills.

As a participant in this program, you can expect:

  • Building skills and practices to conduct culturally responsive trainings in your community and beyond in topics associated with:
    • Healthy Child Development
    • Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health
    • Racial Equity
  • Networking and learning opportunities with other community members
  • Enjoying individual mentorship and support from highly experienced leaders
  • Co-creation of workshop and learning opportunities to reflect BIPOC communities' and others' strengths, challenges, and interests

We envision the enrollment of participants who are at varying stages of their facilitation journey. Through participation in this program, we hope participants will progress based on their individual goals and experience.

This 6-month program is scheduled to take place from January 2025 to June 2025. It is designed as a combination of large and small group trainings, individual mentorship sessions, and culminating with a celebration. Please be sure make a note of the dates provided. The January 24 (date updated from January 22 originally) kick off and June 25, 2025 closing session will take place in person.  All participants are expected to engage actively and collaboratively in this highly interactive environment. Your participation in demonstrations, role-play, and dialogue is critical to our co-learning. Our collective voice and insights are essential. Thus, attendance at all six sessions (3-4 hours) and all small groups (~2 hours) is expected. Please use your camera and microphone thoughtfully during discussions and breakout room activities to enhance and build community. Participants will be enrolled to either Group A or B and are expected to attend only the sessions of the group assigned.

If you or someone you know may benefit from participating in this program, please refer to the Request for Applications (RFA) document, and complete the application no later than the new extended date of December 6th, 2024.

An information session was held on November 14, 2024 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm PST via zoom. You can view a recording of this session on our FAQs page.
